Leaving PvP

The countdown after a PvP zone, and why logging out won't save you.

   Entering is instant

   Step into a PvP zone and anyone there can hurt you.

   Leaving takes time

   You stay in PvP for 15 s after leaving, 30 s after a fight.

   Watch the pill

   The zone pill counts down with a red bar. Going back in cancels it.

   Others can see it

   A red crosshair floats over your head while you count down.

   No trading yet

   No traders, bank or storage until the countdown ends.

   Shooting out of safety

   Hit someone in PvP from a safe spot and you are in PvP too.

   Vehicles share it

   Everyone aboard gets the longest countdown among them.

   Logging out won't save you

   In combat your body stays 30 s after you leave, and can be killed.

Good to know

• A bandit's hit puts you in combat too, for 60 s.
• In a safe zone without PvP status nobody can hurt you.
• Every combat log is counted and staff can see it.
