Step by step
1Think room by room
Kitchens hold food, garages tools, bedrooms clothes, barracks guns.
2Search a container
Hold F for a moment: doors and drawers open, the loot lies inside. F
3First come, first served
Loot is shared: whoever searches first takes it.
4Searched means empty
An open, empty container says Searched. It closes and refills later.
5Searching is loud
Every search makes noise. Infected nearby come to look.
6Go where the good stuff is
Military and police loot only in those buildings; the best in danger zones.
7Search outdoors too
Wrecks, dumpsters, market stalls, camps, hunting stands, orchards.
8Locked ones pay better
Safes, gun lockers, police lockers and ammo crates need a tool.
Good to know
- Every hour one area becomes a loot hot spot: a faint ring on the map.
- Black market dealers drop rumours about the hot spot.
- Big items fit only big furniture: rifles in wardrobes and lockers.
